BioCoS is a Bioinformatics and Biotechnology company based in Chania, Crete, Greece.
We offer DNA-Based solutions to companies, in the health and food sectors. Our Research and Development team is comprised by highly skilled scientists with a strong background in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, with a proven scientific record in their portfolio.
BioCoS’s Bioinformatics core team focuses on the discovery of novel biomarkers for the detection of pathogens, the development of novel bioinformatics tools and management of large-scale DNA data, as well as management of data integration and methodologies development, using different programming languages (R, Python, C), and Cloud technologies.
Our Biotechnology team is specialised in Molecular Biology, development of new protocols for assays' optimisation, novel primer design, as well as laboratory validation (from in silico to in-vitro) of novel biomarkers.

Portfolio of Solutions web site has been initially developed in the scope of DRIVER+ project. Today, the service is managed by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH., for the benefit of the European Management. PoS is endorsed and supported by the Disaster Competence Network Austria (DCNA) as well as by the STAMINA and TeamAware H2020 projects. |
