BioCoS is a Bioinformatics and Biotechnology company based in Chania, Crete, Greece.

We offer DNA-Based solutions to companies, in the health and food sectors. Our Research and Development team is comprised by highly skilled scientists with a strong background in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, with a proven scientific record in their portfolio.

BioCoS’s Bioinformatics core team focuses on the discovery of novel biomarkers for the detection of pathogens, the development of novel bioinformatics tools and management of large-scale DNA data, as well as management of data integration and methodologies development, using different programming languages (R, Python, C), and Cloud technologies.

Our Biotechnology team is specialised in Molecular Biology, development of new protocols for assays' optimisation, novel primer design, as well as laboratory validation (from in silico to in-vitro) of novel biomarkers.

De Portfolio of Solutions website is oorspronkelijk in het kader van het DRIVER+-project ontwikkeld worden. Vandaag wordt de dienst door AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, ten behoeve van de Europese crisisbeheersing beheerd . PoS is door het Disaster Competence Network Austria (DCNA) en door de H2020 projecten STAMINA en TeamAware gesteund.
