Creotech Instruments S.A. company story

It is year 2008 when three men of science and technology establish Creotech Sp. z o.o.. With their international experience and professional recognition they are able to convince the demanding international B2B customer to their outstanding know-how from the very beginnings.

It is however the successful development of “PI of the Sky” project cameras and their production that bring wide public attention to the Company for the first time and boost the trust of the cautious domestic scientific market. Cooperating with Instytut Problemów Jądrowych w Świerku (Institute for Nuclear Studies in Świerk) and Centrum Fizyki Teoretycznej PAN (Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences) the Company develops K20 camera allowing of the brightest flash in gamma ray spectrum connected with supernova star explosion observed in PI of the Sky project. The achievement not only gets noted by the scientific community but also the Company and its product receive numerous and significant awards.

Then every year has brought a milestone to Creotech Sp. z o.o.. 2009 is the year of both intensive commercialization of the Company’s technologies and non the least intensive cooperation with CERN (The European for Nuclear Research). Among other orders CERN asks for a prototype of data acquisition card for particle accelerators, and the card again gets appreciated and awarded by the scientific community.

In 2010 the Company develops next set of products to prototype stage. The significance of Creotech Sp. z o.o. becomes apparent with the financing from Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju (The national Center for Research and Development) of 1,5 mln PLN for a prototype of an astronomical camera. And the Company starts first serious hiring.

In 2011 Creotech Sp. z o.o releases an important in M2M – the Tinyputer computer, today 8000 units of which have been sold. The continuous growth of the Company calIes for a new Partner and a structure change. Thus in September 2011 Jacek Kubrak joines the scientific trio, raises the capital and in November the Company changes its legal form into Spółka Akcyjna (incorporated) and the name into Creotech Instruments S.A.

In 2012 with two subsequent non-public emissions Creotech Instruments S.A. raises significantly stock value. There are four strategic areas for the Company:

  • Space Industry;
  • Science instruments industry (including systems for particle accelerators);
  • Industrial equipment (M2M, cameras);
  • Contract electronics manufacturing.

Then Creotech Instruments S.A. among other seven companies form Poland proudly enjoys business invitation for meeting with representatives of European Space Agency (ESA).

Subsequently in January 2013 Creotech Instruments S.A. receives its first space project to build components for an International Space Station scientific – ASIM. Jacek Kosiec, a visionary and a specialist in high-tech business development, is taking up the post of Space Programm Director at Creotech. Keeping other strategic areas in mind as well, in April that year the Company accepts a significant order from CERN for delivery of data acquisition cards for particle accelerators. As the priority of the two first strategic sectors increases, Creotech Instruments S.A. accordingly adjusts and increases its activities, the company infrastructure and employment. Next a company clean-room facility is built. Then Creotech Instruments S.A. receives ESA certificates in space qualified electronics assembly. Invitations to PROBA 3 and NEOSTEL consortia for ESA projects in Poland follow. Cooperation with Polish and foreign space projects running establishments such as SRC PAS, AIRBUS, and Compagnia Generale per lo Spazio is operative as well.

In 2014 Creotech Instruments S.A. initiates ASTP, NEOSTEL, PROBA-3, MAIT_QUAL and OPS-SAT projects and became a member of SSOOZ consortium. In the frame of Regional Operations programme, the Company obtains financing for the infrastructure development for AIT of satellite systems. Then the first investment of Polish Government into a private company since II WW is achieved  nobody else but Creotech Instruments S.A. It is the support of Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu (Industrial Development Agency) as a strategic investor. As a perfect final touch to the year, in  December an assembly of a large clean-room facility is finished and an automatic assembly of production line for electronics installed.

Currently Creotech Instruments S.A is carrying out eight projects in space industry and next seven are in preparation stage including microsatellite integration project.
