Lithuanian Cybercrime Center of Excellence for Training, Research and Education (L3CE)
Seeking to contribute to coordinated strengthening of competences in fighting against cybercrime, taking into account the EU and national context in cybercrime Lithuanian academia together with international and industry partners have established public institution “Lithuanian Cybercrime Center of Excellence for Training, Research and Education” on 16th August of 2013 (hereinafter – L3CE, the Centre).
The cybercrime centres of excellence in EU countries provide Law enforcement with necessary knowledge, resources and training, and coordinate R&D activities in fighting Cybercrime. However, EU countries have quite different experience, knowledge, apply different methods, dispose with very uneven resources and sometimes facing with different type of cybercrime, therefore demand in different competencies may vary. Thus force the national centres of excellence to specialise in areas of the most or potential advantages.
- L3CE vision is to become the leading cybercrime centre of excellence in the Baltic region, gathering and sharing the excellence, knowledge, R&D outcomes and for fighting against cybercrime.
- L3CE mission is to promote an efficient cooperation among academia, law enforcement and industry seeking to exploit existing knowledge and R&I tackling at secure society challenges.
Portfolio of Solutions web site has been initially developed in the scope of DRIVER+ project. Today, the service is managed by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH., for the benefit of the European Crisis Management. PoS is endorsed and supported by the Disaster Competence Network Austria (DCNA) as well as by the STAMINA and TeamAware H2020 projects. |
