The increasing intensity of wildfires, together with the increased concern about fire safety and costs, requires better strategies and tactics for firefighting. There is a strong need for professional development in firefighting and the promotion of safety practices for firefighters

Need to evaluate firefighting techniques and equipment effectiveness in real conditions. This includes improved knowledge on the temperature resistance of firefighting materials
Common Incident Command Systems and common standards on capacity building for emergency training at European level are needed for enhancing international firefighting assistance
Improve the adequacy between aircraft and drone navigation and aeronautic legislation
